Bird enthusiasts can marvel at more than four hundred identified bird species, some rare, others abundant, it's very beautiful.

Additional Activities

  • Guided tours by air of the Conservancy and Mount Kenya with a stop for trout fishing in a high-altitude lake.

Lewa Wilderness Camps accommodation is offered in nine twins, two triples and one double discreetly spaced permanent luxury tent, en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water and flush toilets.

Lewa House is only booked on an exclusive basis. There are three large cottages each with a double and a twin room, making the property suitable for up to twelve people for their Kenya accommodation.

All the cottages have en-suite bathrooms, apart from the family cottage, which has a shared bathroom. The houses are rustic, with cooling `Sanje' (swamp grass) roofs and designed to mix the traditional relaxed ambiance with modern comfort. Each of the cottages has a private verandah where guests can sit in the cool of the evening to enjoy the starlit African skies.
