Heuglin's Lodge is situated in the quiet garden suburbs of Lilongwe, Malawi's capital, approximately 30 minute's drive from the airport.  Set in expansive, attractive gardens, bird life is plentiful, and the guesthouse offers a quiet, relaxed atmosphere.

A good introduction to the birds of Malawi can be had sitting, drink in hand, in the garden here. There are resident pairs of Scalow's loerie, Tropical boubou shride, pearl spotted owl and of course Heuglin's robin. Several sunbirds are also regulars including yellow bellied and scarlet-chested.

• Sightseeing tours of the city of Lilongwe
• For very keen birders we can organise early morning trips to the Lilongwe Nature Sanctuary for such species as broadbill, finfoot and red throated twinspot.

Rooms

Heuglin's has six spacious and tastefully furnished bedrooms, three of which have adjoining bathrooms.  It also has a lounge, extensive library and dining room. The guesthouse offers meals and a full bar. There is also a 33 foot pool in the garden.
