Damaraland / North, Namibia
Between the Ugab and the Huab Rivers in southern Damaraland lies
a vast and unspoilt wilderness area, boasting magnificent desert
scenery, unusual geological formations, archaeological sites and a
unique variety of desert fauna & flora. This is also the
southernmost roaming-ground of the rare black rhino and the desert
elephant. Here you will find the Twyfelfontein Conservancy
and the Mowani Mountain Camp. The word M'wane means 'Place of God',
and here you will find the true meaning of the words - peace and
tranquility.
Mowani nestles amongst the majestic boulders of this beautiful
area on a high spot, commanding distant views over the ancient
landscape. Great care has been taken with the design of the
recreational areas, giving the impression of an African
Village. The luxury-tents are elegantly decorated with
furnishings especially designed for convenience and comfort. Guests
can relax around a man-made rock pool that has been skillfully
carved out of the local stone, blending in perfectly with the
natural surroundings.

style. Individual wooden decks ensure an open and superb view of
the Damara landscape.
The ultimate in luxury and privacy at Mowani is The Suite. Built
upon a rocky outcrop, the views from every room are spectacular!
This luxury thatched suite comes complete with butler service, and
is elegantly furnished and styled with a distinct African flavour.
The lounge has even been equipped with a music centre and satellite

the confines of a private dining room and bar.
