Heinitzburg Hotel
Namibia
Windhoek, the gateway and capital of the country, lies 1689m
above sea level, embedded by the 'Khomas Highland.' Hotel
Heinitzburg is situated on the 'Luxury Hill,' 5 minutes drive from
the city centre, overlooking the capital and its remarkable
highlands. Commissioned in 1914 by Count von Schewerin for his
fiancée, Margarethe von Heinitz. In 1966 this German castle was
turned into a private owned hotel with 10 rooms. Additional 6
rooms, a gourmet restaurant 'Leo's at the Castle', a new kitchen
and a wine cellar as well as a new swimming pool next to the Pool
Side Deluxe Rooms were finished in May 2000.
When the Count commissioned Castle Heinitzburg, love was his
inspiration, elegance was his achievement. We too were inspired,
and have preserved and complimented his vision to combine comfort
with luxurious charm.
Rooms
The Heinitzburg Hotel offers 16 spacious generously appointed en-suite rooms, each with its own superb view.
