Day 1-2: Okavango Delta
Upon arrival in Maun, you will be met and assisted to check in for your light air transfer to the Okavango Delta. On arrival at the airstrip you will be met by your game ranger and driven to the lodge. Spend 2 nights at Baines Camp in a raised chalet fully inclusive of all meals, all game viewing activities (with the exception of Elephant Activities at Baines' Camp), park fees, laundry services, emergency medical evacuation, all beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic with the exception of premium brands)
Set in a grove of trees, and surrounded by papyrus beds, this low environmental impact camp has been built using commercially grown wood and recycled tin cans. The local community in Maun were invited to collect as many cans as they could, and paid a fee for every can collected. These cans were then incorporated into the camp buildings, forming the backbone of the structures. The five tented suites at Sanctuary Baines' are opulent and luxurious, with adjoining outdoor bathrooms and four-poster beds swathed in mosquito netting. Traditional safari ceiling fans create a cooling breeze at even the hottest times of the year. Should you wish, your bed can be wheeled out onto the private wooden deck for a night under the stars, overlooking the shimmering waters of the Boro River where hippo can often be spotted.
Day 3-4: Moremi Game Reserve
Depart Baines on a scheduled light air transfer to Chiefs Camp. Spend 2 nights at Chiefs Camp in a luxury en suite tent fully inclusive of all meals, all game viewing activities, park fees, laundry services, emergency medical evacuation, all beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic with the exception of premium brands)
The twelve luxury bush pavilions at Sanctuary Chief's Camp are tucked away in the Mombo Concession, part of the world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve. This area is known as the 'predator capital of Africa' and is also home to large herds of elephant and buffalo, making Sanctuary Chief's the ideal place to experience African wildlife at close hand. The guest pavilions are hidden away in a jackalberry and sausage tree woodland that is characteristic of the area. All have their own private decks and indoor and outdoor showers. Generously draped mosquito nets and traditional ceiling fans also feature. There is a communal decked living room with stunning views over the floodplains, while the dining area surrounds a fire pit on the very edge of the Piajio plains so that guests can continue their game viewing while enjoying fine cuisine and wines.
Day 5-6: Chobe National Park
Depart Chiefs Camp on a scheduled light air transfer to Kasane. On arrival at Kasane a Chobe Chilwero representative will meet you and drive you to the lodge. Spend 2 nights at Chobe Chilwero in a chalet fully inclusive of all meals, all game viewing activities, park fees, laundry services, emergency medical evacuation, all beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic with the exception of premium brands) and return airport transfers from Kasane Airport to Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero.
A great deal of thought has gone into making Chobe Chilwero a luxurious riverside retreat in the heart of the bush, with all of the facilities of a larger resort. Guests can relax in the split-level swimming pool, unwind with a pampering session in the spa or enjoy the gourmet food that the lodge has become known for. The main area commands fabulous views over the Chobe River which borders Chobe National Park to the north. As well as the elephants for which the park is famous, there are also huge herds of buffalo living in the towering teak forests that are characteristic of the area. Each room has two showers - one inside and one outside. The freestanding tubs in the bathrooms are big and comfortable. Each cottage has its own private garden where guests can sip cocktails after a day of game viewing, or why not enjoy your very own private dinner served under the African sky.
Day 7: Depart
Your Chobe Chilwero representative will drive you to Kasane Airport.
