Day 1-2: Chobe National Park
Upon arrival at Kasane Airport, you will be met and assisted to depart on a 20 minute road transfer to Chobe. Spend 2 nights at Chobe Game Lodge fully inclusive of all meals, soft drinks and local brand beverages, National Park entrance fees, Scheduled activities, Medical evacuation insurance & a complimentary suite upgrade.
Chobe Game Lodge, the only permanent game lodge situated within the Chobe National Park, is Botswana's premier venue for guests looking for a perfect base to explore the Chobe National Park and the Chobe River.
Chobe's wildlife roams in abundance and diversity. It is home to the largest concentration of elephant in Africa and during the dry season these herds, as well as large herds of buffalo, congregate along the fertile flood plains of the Chobe River. Magnificent sightings of lion, wild dog, puku, red lechwe, sable, giraffe and roan antelope are also frequent in the area. The lodge can accommodate up to 94 people in total luxury, offering a choice of land or water activities and the most complete game experience in the Chobe area. Game drives are conducted in open sided 4X4 vehicles ensuring maximum visibility, while game viewing on the Chobe River is conducted by small, shallow draft and highly maneuverable boats, perfect for morning or sunset cruises. Enjoy a cruise along the Chobe River on our double-decker river cruiser, the Mosi-oa-Tunya with on board bar and snacks.
Day 3-4: Savute
Your Chobe Game Lodge game ranger will drive you to Kasane Airport.
Depart Kasane on a scheduled light air transfer to Savute. Spend 2 nights at Savute Safari Lodge in a raised chalet fully inclusive of all meals, soft drinks and local brand beverages, National Park entrance fees, Scheduled activities, Medical evacuation insurance & a private dinner.
Savute Safari Lodge is located on the banks of the Savute Channel in the Chobe National Park and forms part of the rich Savute ecosystem renowned for its large concentration of elephant and lion. The area is renowned for its population of bull elephant and for the unique interaction of the resident predator species. The close proximity of wildlife translates itself into the recently refurbished, modern African décor. All suites have private decks, combined bedroom and sitting areas and en-suite facilities. The sitting area, library and cocktail bar are situated in an exquisite thatch and timber main building. Savute boasts a viewing deck, an al fresco dining area and swimming pool - which is ideal for watching game at the waterhole. These features set the lodge apart from other typical safari destinations.
Day 5-6: Okavango Delta
Depart Savute on a scheduled light air transfer to the heart of the magical Okavango Delta.
Spend 2 nights at Xugana Island Lodge in a raised chalet fully inclusive of all meals, soft drinks and local brand beverages, National Park entrance fees, Scheduled activities, Medical evacuation insurance & a private floating deck dinner (weather permitting).
Xugana Island Lodge is situated on Xugana Island in the heart of the Okavango Delta, under a canopy of wild ebony and garcina trees. The lodge faces onto the crystal clear waters and tranquillity of Xugana Lagoon, which is widely accepted as the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Delta and assures a year-round water wilderness experience. The open-sided thatched lounge, bar and dining areas are set back under the ebony and African Mangosteen tree canopy. The swimming pool, located within the mature gardens in the centre of the island, is a perfect place to relax. Guests can either explore the delta by motorboat, mokoro, or take leisurely walks on surrounding islands in the concession. This provides the opportunity to experience a classic Okavango Delta safari. Birdwatching opportunities are outstanding, and fishing for bream and tigerfish is offered.
Day 7-8: Makgadikgadi Pans National Park
Depart Xugana on a scheduled light air transfer to the Makgadikgadi Pans. Spend 2 nights at Leroo La Tau Game Lodge in a chalet fully inclusive of all meals, soft drinks and local brand beverages, National Park entrance fees, Scheduled activities, Medical evacuation insurance & a tree planting ceremony.
Leroo La Tau rises majestically above the Boteti River which stretches across the western border of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. The park, populated by up to 30,000 zebra and wildebeest closely accompanied by predators, offers guests the chance to experience the exhilaration of seeing large concentrations of game and the resultant predator interaction. The lodge offers a raised hide above the river where guests can enjoy the spectacular wildlife sightings that we've come to expect in this part of Botswana. With just 12 thatched chalets, each with en-suite bathrooms, a dining room, reading room and bar in the main lodge, expansive wooden decks and a plunge pool, guests can immerse themselves seamlessly into the ultimate wildlife experience in Botswana. Having explored the area and enjoyed a spectacular wildlife phenomenon on guided day and night game drives, guests can retire after dinner to a splendid fireplace overlooking the river.
Day 9: Depart
Depart Leroo La Tau on a scheduled light air transfer to Maun.
