Day 1: Nairobi

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met and driven to the Holiday Inn Nairobi.

Kenya's capital is one of the largest and most influential cities in Africa, an important commercial and financial regional hub. It is the port of entry for most travellers to Kenya and offers bustling markets, interesting history and numerous attractions. Named after a Maasai watering hole, "enkare nyarobi", which means "place of cool waters", Nairobi is known for its leafy streets and parks. The skyline, with towering skyscrapers and imposing architecture also draws one's attention soon after arriving in the city. Not-to-be-missed are visits to the city's beautiful Uhuru Park and an informative excursion to the Karen Blixen Museum.

Overnight for one night at the Holiday Inn Nairobi. Accommodation is in a room with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes breakfast.

Day 2-3: Samburu

After wholesome breakfast you will be driven to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Buffalo Springs airstrip. From there, you'll experience your first game drive to the Samburu Intrepids camp.

The best feature of Samburu is not the wildlife or the picturesque surroundings, but the fact that it is one of the lesser-visited regions in Kenya. The peaceful atmosphere and the authentic wilderness experience set it apart from the better-known wildlife reserves in Kenya. Situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ngíro River, with its palm groves and dense forests, there is plentiful wildlife and the bird watching is especially good. The rest of the reserve is fairly hot and semi-arid, making for easy game viewing.

Overnight for two nights at Samburu Intrepids. Accommodation is in a tent with en-suite facilities. Your stay includes three meals daily, tea, coffee and daily activities.  Adventures include exhilarating game drives.

Day 4-5: Mt Kenya

After a delicious breakfast you will be driven back to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Lewa Airstrip, where a 15 minute journey will bring you to Lewa Safari Camp.

The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is a 62,000-acre wildlife sanctuary situated on the northern slopes of Mt Kenya. It consists of five extremely diverse ecosystems: Open savannah, Acacia forest, rocky gorges and ravines, Mountain forest and, our backbone, the Lewa swamp. This all supports over 440 species of birds and more than 61 different mammals, including some rather rare exotic and endangered ones. Lewa now holds 34 black and 33 white rhino. It is one of the last three remaining habitats of the aquatic sitatunga. Lewa also boasts an ever-increasing population of reticulated Giraffe, 25 % of the worlds remaining Grevy's zebra population and Lewa also hosts a pack of elusive wild dogs.

Overnight for two nights at Lewa Safari Camp. Accommodation is in a beautiful tent with an ensuite bathroom. Your stay is on a full board basis including park fees and scheduled activities.  Adventures include game drives and interpretive bush walks.

Day 6-7: Masai Mara

Tuck into a scrumptious breakfast before your drive to the Lewa Airstrip where you will board your scheduled flight to Kichwa Airstrip. Upon your arrival you will be met and driven to Kichwa Tembo Masai Mara Tented Camp.

The Masai Mara is Kenya's most renowned game park, situated in the northern extension of the Serengeti. Its legendary Great Migration, of over two million wildebeest and other antelope, has been described as one of nature's greatest wildlife spectacles - and an experience every safari enthusiast should witness at least once in their lifetime. Game viewing in this celebrated park is wonderful all round the year, with virtually guaranteed sightings of the Big Five. The park takes its name from the Mara River, which flows through the reserve, and the Maasai people, a tribe whose red dress and proud demeanour have ensured they are probably Kenya's best-known (and most-photographed) people.

Spend two nights at Kichwa Tembo Maasai Mara Tented Camp.  Accommodation is in a luxury or standard Hemingway-style safari tent with a lovely ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes three meals daily, teas and coffees and daily lodge activities.  Adventures include twice-daily game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles, birdwatching and daily lectures by a Maasai naturalist.  Optional adventures, at an additional cost, include night game drives on the lodge's wilderness concession, guided walking trails up and along the Oloololo escarpment, a Maasai community visit, sundowners at a location with spectacular views across the Mara and hot air balloon trips.

Day 8: Depart

Enjoy an early morning game drive and a mouth-watering breakfast before your drive back to the airstrip. Here you will board your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport, where a car will be waiting to take you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, for your onward flight.
