This 4 day adventures affords you seemingly endless, sun-kissed beach on the sheltered Kipungani Channel - this has been described as one of the most incurably romantic coastal hideaways in all of Africa!   Exploring the many historical attractions of Lamu, which has been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Day 1-3: Lamu

Upon your arrival at Lamu Airport you will be met by a representative from Kipungani Explorer who will drive you to Kipungani Explorer.

Lamu is a place like no other, a peaceful tropical island where life moves at its own tranquil pace. Here visitors will be enchanted by the historical beauty of the island as they make their way through the winding streets of its medieval stone town. The town of Lamu began life as a 14th century Swahili settlement, but the island's many visitors including Portuguese explorers, Turkish traders and the Omani Arabs have left their mark in the architecture and traditions. Rolling dunes and pristine beaches with endless horizons offer exceptional photographic opportunities, whilst vibrant villages dot the landscape amongst coconut and mango plantations and locals ply their fishing trade on traditional dhows.

Spend three nights at Kipungani Explorer. Accommodation is in a beautiful tent with ensuite bathroom with shower only. Your stay includes three meals daily, tea and coffee and non-motorized water sports (kayaking and wind-surfing).

Day 4: Depart

After a delicious breakfast, we wave a fond farewell as you transfer by road and boat to Lamu Airport.
