Ngong House, Amboseli Serena Lodge, Samburu Intrepid, Bateleur Camp

Spend 8 days travelling through the heart of Kenya. The extraordinary annual Great Migration of wildebeest and other grazing herbivores across the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem is one of the greatest spectacles in the natural world.

Day 1: Ngong House, Nairobi, Kenya

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you'll be met and transferred to Ngong House.  Ngong House is a private, serene and luxurious home stay situated in Karen / Langata area of Nairobi. The lodge overlooks the Ngong Hills, only a few minutes away from what used to be Karen Blixen's coffee farm.

Ngong House is a unique experience for anyone's Kenya vacation. Although you will be staying in 'tree houses' you will enjoy a very high degree of luxury. Four poster beds, crisp linen and exquisite, gourmet food are just the beginning of this Kenya vacation. The main house and each tree house have fully stocked bars.

Spend 1 night at Ngong House including accommodation, meals and transfers to and from the airport.

Day 2-3: Amboseli Serena Lodge, Kenya

Following an early breakfast you'll be transferred to Nairobi Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Amboseli (approx. 45min). Upon arrival, you'll be met and transferred to the lodge in time for lunch.

Set against the magnificent backdrop of Africa's highest mountain, the glittering Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge enjoys a uniquely privileged position at the heart of this world-famous national park.

Secluded within a grove of acacia trees, the lodge looks out over the golden savannah plains, with uninterrupted views of the mountain itself. Close by are a series of emerald green swamps, which are fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. These, the only sources of water in this otherwise starkly beautiful but arid park, attract huge numbers of wallowing elephants, hippos, buffalos and plains game. Meanwhile, from the prehistoric site of Observation Hill, the sunset over Kilimanjaro is magnificent.

The luxury ensuite rooms are accommodated in two single-storey dedicated buildings, which lie to the right and left of the main reception and dining areas. Each tastefully-appointed room features a Maasai-inspired, hand-painted, wall fresco, king-sized bed or luxurious twins, lavish all-encompassing mosquito-curtaining, bathroom (with walk-in shower), writing/vanity unit, and private veranda. Triple rooms can be made available.

After an afternoon siesta, you can enjoy a game drive with the opportunity to spot a wide variety of wildlife including the endangered black rhino.

Spend two nights including accommodation and meals.

Day 4-5: Samburu Intrepid, Kenya

After breakfast, you're transferred to the airport for an early morning scheduled flight to Nairobi (approx. 45min) to connect with the flight to Samburu (approx. 1hr 20min). Upon arrival, you'll be met and transferred to your camp.

Samburu Intrepids Lodge is famous as a pioneer of luxury camping in one of the world's last truly great wilderness areas. Samburu Intrepids Lodge will show you this dramatic wilderness, Samburu National Reserve, from a world of fascinating perspectives: through early morning game drives, walking safaris with skilled Samburu guides, sedate Camel rides, and raft trips when the river is high.

Situated on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River in the arid heart of Samburu National Reserve, Samburu Intrepids looks out over riverbanks where herds of Elephant, Buffalo and Zebra come daily to drink - together with the rarer 'northern species' of reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx and long-necked Gerenuk Antelope. Enjoy sun downers and starlit dinners, tours to Samburu villages and 'bush secrets' and traditional dances by local warriors and maidens. Samburu Intrepids Lodge also offers lectures and slide shows on culture and wildlife and a heritage famous Adventurers' Club for the kids.

This luxurious tented lodge offers 30 modern and newly refurbished tents with a private view over the wildlife-rich riverbanks. All the tents are large and spacious under palm-thatched roofs with netted screens to allow for the river breeze to keep them cool and give you stunning views of the land that is Samburu. Each tent sits on a raised deck overlooking the brown river where the elephants sometimes make an appearance or the crocodiles come out to lounge by the river's banks. All tents are fitted with fans. For families with children wanting more space, you have a choice of the family tents, an ensemble of two tents with a spacious lounge and a wide deck complete with lounging chairs and tables, ideal for relaxing and private meals. Beautifully styled with ethno-African and modern pieces, they are simply superb for family stays. The bathrooms also offer twin washbasins, flush toilets, and sockets for shavers and battery charging.

Spend 2 nights including accommodation, meals and scheduled activities.

Day 6-7: Bateleur Camp, Masai Mara, Kenya

After an early morning game drive you're transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara (approx. 1hr 45min). On arrival you'll be transferred to the Bateleur Lodge.

Experience classic safari style, where wildlife adventures by day blend with elegant panache under canvas at night, at Bateleur Camp. Commanding sweeping views over some of the premier game viewing regions in the world, this intimate camp reflects the ambiance of the Kenyan explorers of the 20s and 30s.

Verdant branches that open up onto an expansive panorama provide endless views of the Masai Mara as soon as you open your eyes in your vast wooden bed. Let the untouched landscapes take you back to the style and glamour of vintage Africa. Slip into a world of hardwood floors, polished silver and sparkling crystal juxtaposed against the romance of the open Mara plains, with their abundant herds of wildlife.

Two intimate camps each with just nine spacious tents with shingle roof, wooden doors and a private deck. Each tent is luxuriously furnished with gleaming wooden floors and wood-framed beds, overhead fan, twin hand basins, shower, private w.c, cupboards, leather chairs and writing table.

Spend 2 nights in the lap of African luxury on a fully inclusive basis.
