Day 1-3: Great Rift Valley

This safari begins and ends at Manyara Airport in Tanzania.

Upon your arrival at Manyara Airport you will be warmly welcomed by your Journey Host, who will accompany you throughout your adventure. Your safari will kick-start with a game drive that includes a picnic lunch stop to Lake Eyasi as you make your way to Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp.  This is where you will spend three nights in a tent with en-suite bathroom (shower only).

A shallow, seasonal lake located in one of the oldest parts of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Eyasi lies in a beautiful, yet largely unexplored, wilderness. Stretching 50 km (30 miles) in length, the lake is bordered by acacia and doom palm forests. Its north-eastern tip is in the shadow of the Oldeani Mountain and the highlands of the Ngorongoro Crater, while the plains of the Serengeti lie to the north. The forests and meadows on the lake's shores are home to a wide variety of wildlife, including leopard, monkeys and a vast number of bird species. Storks, pelicans and flamingos are attracted to the lake shores during the rain season, as are families of hippo.

Your stay includes accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Activities include spectacular interpretive walking safaris with the hunter/gatherer Hadzabe Tribe as well the Datoka tribe.

Day 4: Depart

Enjoy breakfast before your drive back to the Manyara Airstrip, where you continue on your onward adventures.
