Babylonstoren is a historic Cape Dutch farm beloved for its 3.5 hectare garden. The farm dates back to 1692 and is one of the best preserved in the Cape. The original farm buildings have been preserved and restored to reflect period architecture with modern amenities.
Babylonstoren offers a wide range of activities and amenities on the farm. Children and guests are invited to participate in feeding the animals, including the local donkeys, chickens and geese, as well as pick fruit, herbs, vegetables and spices from the gardens.
The Farm features a luxurious Garden Spa set within a forest of bamboo and tranquil greenery, perfect for pampering your body and soul. The two restaurants on the property offer fresh ingredients from the farm, one located in a greenhouse and one in a renovated cow shed.
The Babylonstoren Hotel reflects the history of the farm with thick whitewashed walls, hearty fireplaces and elegant gables. The overall effect is relaxed with several of the existing farm buildings transformed into sophisticated guest accommodation.
The Farmhouse suites at Babylonstoren have access to an outdoor swimming pool and a hot spa facility that includes a sauna, salt room, lounge area and vitality pool. All open-plan suites feature a luxurious en-suite bathroom.
