Duba Plains Camp sits in the heart of the Okavango Delta, a 77,000-acre private concession teeming with wildlife and a true connoisseur's luxury getaway. Built on a wooded island and connected to an abundance of wildlife by elaborate bridges, Duba Plains is the only camp on the concession.
The wildlife viewing at Duba Plains is world-class with two game drives operating daily. There is an early morning game drive and a late afternoon / early evening departure. Regular sightings on the concession include Lion, Elephant, Wild Dog, Hippo, Leopard and large herds of Red Lechwe, Greater Kudu and even Giraffe.
The camp itself is a regular attraction for wildlife and a birdwatchers paradise. You can expect to see rare Wattled Crane, Pel's Fishing Owl, Marsh Owl and White-backed Night Heron.
The Duba Plains Camp forms part of the Great Plains Conservation Group who work closely with local communities to help conserve the environment. The Camp is a fully integrated community empowerment project and sites on land leased from the five local communities.
Duba Plains has restricted access and can only be reached by scheduled air transfers. Once you land at the airstrip the camp is a short 10 minute drive away in an overland vehicle.
