The top luxury accommodation in Zambia that should be on every bucket list.
Zambia provides world-class luxury safari accommodation all along the mighty Zambezi River, leading to the magnificent Victoria Falls. Zambia essentially has two seasons, the wet rainy season and the dry season. Game viewing is optimal during the dry season, whilst the Victoria Falls flows strongest during the rainy season.
The best time to visit Zambia purely for game viewing is during the dry season, from May to October, with May to August ideal as temperatures in September and October can be excruciatingly hot. The less dense vegetation during this period makes game sightings easier than in the rainy season where it can be difficult to spot animals.
The best time to visit Zambia to see the Victoria Falls however, is in the rainy season from December to April. The Zambezi River is flowing at its strongest which makes for a thundering Victoria Falls and excellent white water rafting.
Zambia is home to over 240 mammalian species including the Rhodesian giraffe and Kafue Lechwe, which are endemic to Zambia. There are also an estimated 750+ bird species in the area, making it a bird lovers paradise.
The main attraction is however the magnificent Victoria Falls. There are many activities in and around the Victoria Falls from tours of the falls, scenic helicopter rides, tiger fishing, sunset cruises, wildlife safaris and white water rafting.
